At WHY Hospitality Ltd, we believe trust is earned. We only collect the information we need to provide and improve WHY HATS. We never sell your personal information.

How we use your information
- Provide the WHY HATS platform
- Help candidates and venues explore opportunities using the information they share
- Improve products and services
- Respond to support requests and keep the platform secure
- Meet legal obligations
When venues can see your details
- When you apply, the venue receives the profile information you review and submit. HATS keeps your name, profile photo and email address hidden on the application until you accept an interview.
- If you switch on discovery or Talent Rescue, Pro employers can explore your anonymised profile before you apply. You can manage these preferences in your account.
- Accepting a separate connection request shares your name with that venue in People worth meeting. The connection does not share your photo or email address, submit a job application or accept an interview.
- Accepting an interview shares your name, profile photo and email address with the venue through that application. Declining an invitation shares no additional details.
- Information you choose to write in profile text or messages may identify you. Closing an application or switching off discovery does not remove information already shared with a venue.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and keep the site secure. These are always on because the site cannot work without them
- With your permission we also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, an advertising cookie that lets LinkedIn tell us which of our adverts brought someone to the site
- Advertising cookies only load on our public pages, never inside your account, and never before you have agreed to them
- You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when you first arrive, and change your mind at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer
